What are the stages of the Trivium?

The first stage is grammar, in which the fundamental rules of a subject are taught. This coincides with the
elementary school years.

The second stage is logic, in which formal reasoning is applied to the fundamental rules of a subject. Logic
coincides with the junior high school years.

Finally comes rhetoric. This is the stage in which the student's thoughts are expressed in a clear and concise
manner. Rhetoric is added during the high school years.  

All three stages of the Trivium focus on making sure we nurture the natural developmental abilities of children

Latin:
Why do you teach Latin?

Latin also improves a student's:
- command of English
- grammar
- vocabulary
- spelling
- writing style

Latin helps students develop good study habits and improves memory, factors which are vital to success in college.

Latin can raise a student's SAT and ACT scores.

Reading, writing, and translating Latin tend to improve a student's performance in all academic areas.

Many of the world's languages (French, Spanish, Italian, etc.) are derived from Latin, making it easier to learn other languages.
