Ms. Brooke Bowden teaches English Literature to 7th through 10th grades. She was raised all of her life in Phenix City and attended elementary, middle and high school at Brookstone School. After graduation from Brookstone in 2000, she attended Auburn University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 2004. She received her Masters degree in Secondary English Education from Columbus State University in May of 2008. She is currently attending Mercy College to pursue a Masters in English Literature degree.

She has been active in many different organizations while at Auburn and Columbus State including; the National Council of Teachers of English, Sigma Tau Delta (the English Honor Society), and The Arden, Columbus State’s literary magazine. She is also the Yearbook Advisor.

 

She currently attends Wynnbrook Baptist Church but was raised at Evangel Temple Assembly of God where she was active in the STARS program as well as musicals and choir productions. In 2005, Brooke lived as a ministry intern with the organization, A Christian Ministry in the National Parks, working and living for almost four months during the summer in the Grand Canyon leading services of worship at Desert View, on the East Rim. She enjoys reading, singing and working on her scrapbooks.
