Monica Dixon Ford is currently in her 3rd year teaching 5th and 6th grades at Veritas Academy. She is the wife of John Ford III and the mother of three beautiful children, Briana, Byron, and Brandi. They also have a cat named B.J.

Her education is as follows:
Elementary School - Mother Mary Mission
Junior High School - South Girard Jr. High School
High School - Central High School; where she graduated top 10% of her class in 1986.
Monica attended The University of Alabama where she graduated with honors in 1990 with a degree in Psychology/Social Work. During college she had the honor of being a research assistant and her work was published in The American Psychology Association Journal (APA). She also worked as a Crisis Line Counselor.

Monica’s work history is as follows:
During college she worked as a Crisis Line Counselor, Data Entry Clerk, and Kindergarten Assistant. After graduating college she pursued a career s a Mental Health Counselor (MHC) at Innerharbour Psychiatric Hospital (a wilderness treatment center for teens in Rockmart, GA 1991-1994).

Upon starting her family she stayed at home for 10 ½ years. When her children started school she went back to work as a Pre – Kindergarten teacher at Philadelphia Baptist Kindergarten 2004 – 2006. Monica was the asked to join the staff at Veritas Academy where she has been since 2006.

Monica grew up in a God fearing Christian home where she began her personal relationship and salvation with Jesus Christ at an early age. She is currently a member of Oasis Christian Center. She has always been active in church. Some of her church activities include the following:
- Praise and Worship Team
- Co – Youth Minster at Family Life Christian Center with her husband John.

- Drama team and writer with Youth Ministry

- Activities Coordinator for Marriage Maintenance Ministry

- Perform special music with her husband John

- Women’s Ministry

- Inspirational Speaker at the church as well as other churches
