Mrs. Funderburk loves the Lord with all of her heart. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior when she was 12 years old at a youth conference.  She serves at Crawford Road Baptist Church as the Children’s Church Director and Children’s Church Co-Teacher.  She taught Children’s Choir for several years, also.  Mrs. Funderburk truly believes that her work here at Veritas Academy is a ministry. 

Mrs. Funderburk has been happily married to Brad Funderburk of Smiths Station for 15 years and has two children, Annie and Johnny.   Both Annie and Johnny are students at Veritas Academy. 

Mrs. Funderburk majored in Elementary Education at Auburn University.  After college, she worked as a Legal Secretary for two local law offices.  Upon deciding to begin a family, Mrs. Funderburk was a stay-at home mom for 10 years.  She began working at Veritas Academy as the Librarian in 2007.  After Mr. Austin saw her organization skills and her ability to relate to the students and parents, he asked her to become his assistant.  Along with being Mr. Austin’s assistant, she is also the registrar, billing coordinator and librarian. She is also available to assist the students with counseling, first aid and any other needs that arise during the day.

Mrs. Funderburk loves to read, cook, draw and paint. She enjoys going camping, riding 4-wheelers and fishing with her family. She loves to spend time outdoors enjoying God's beautiful world.
