Ms. Gillis graduated Summa Cum Laude from Gordon College with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice in 2007. Ms. Gillis then transferred to Wesleyan College in Macon, GA. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2009. At Wesleyan College she was very involved as a resident advisor, orientation advisor, Student Recreation Council President, Student Athletic Advisory Committee member, and student intern for Wesleyan’s counseling services. She was also a member of three academic honor societies, Phi Theta Kappa, Psi Chi, and Phi Kappa Phi. During her four years of college she was a member of both colleges’ softball teams earning such honors as NFCA Academic All American, NJCAA All American Scholar Athlete, NJCAA All American Distinguished Scholar Athlete, All- Academic Team, Wesleyan College’s Scholar Athlete, Wesleyan Softball Most Valuable Player, and GSAC All-Conference Team Member.

Ms. Gillis was saved at a young age, and is a member of Crawford Road Baptist Church. She loves the Lord, and feels absolutely blessed to feel the Lord’s presence in her life. She is overjoyed that the Lord gave her the opportunity to join the Veritas staff this year to teach 10th grade biology and run an afterschool program.

Ms. Gillis is planning her wedding for the summer of 2010. She then plans to attend graduate school hoping to further her education in psychology.
