Mrs. Tina Stamps is the Kindergarten teacher at Veritas.  She has been happily married to Chris Stamps since 1992, and they have two wonderful sons, Christopher and Cameron, who both attend Veritas.

Mrs. Stamps was born in Phenix City and lived here for most of her life.  She graduated with honors from Central High School in 1985.  She attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, where she majored in English and minored in History, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989.  She then went to the University of Alabama School of Law, where she received her law degree in 1992.  After graduating from law school, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk for two judges in Montgomery.  After completing her clerkships, she worked as an attorney in private practice in Dothan, Alabama, from 1994 – 1999.  Her family then moved back to Phenix City, where she had her private practice law office from 2000-2001.  In 2001, she closed her law office to be a stay-at home mom for Christopher and Cameron.

During this time, she realized that she had a passion for teaching children.  She spent three years serving as a substitute teacher for children in preschool up to 6th grade.  She also worked as a physical education aide for students in K5 – 6th grade for one school year.   After Christopher and Cameron enrolled in Veritas Academy for the 2007-2008 school year, Mrs. Stamps became the P.E. teacher at Veritas.  After working as the P.E. teacher for two school years, she was blessed with the opportunity to become the Kindergarten teacher at Veritas.

Mrs. Stamps was baptized at a young age, but she does not remember much about it.  Several years ago, she began to realize that she was missing something in her life and had questions about her own salvation.  She knew that she had never lived her life for Christ and had never given her life to Him.  In August 2004, she asked Jesus into her heart and was baptized, this time knowing without a doubt that she was saved.  The Lord changed her and changed her life forever from that point.  She loves the Lord with all her heart, mind, soul and strength.  Her greatest desire and responsibility is to teach her own children all that she can about Him.  She also knows what an awesome opportunity and responsibility she has as well to teach her students about Jesus.  It has been an answer to prayer to be able to teach at her children’s school.

The Stamps family attends NorthStar Community Church.  Mr. and Mrs. Stamps are very involved in coaching Christopher’s and Cameron’s soccer teams.  Mrs. Stamps enjoys spending time with her family, especially outdoors, and when she has time, she loves to scrapbook.
