Carole Thornton has taught at Veritas Academy for the past five years. She has been happily married to Patrick Thornton for 23 years. They have three daughters; Lindsey, Chelsea, and Jessica, and a granddaughter Lilly Caroline. She and her family are active members at Lakewood Baptist Church.

Carole was raised in a Christian home and was saved at the age of eight years old. She has been involved in Bible study and various ministries throughout her life. She enjoys visiting her father in Ghana, Africa where he is a missionary. Her mother passed away in 1998.

Carole is currently teaching 3rd and 4th Grades at Veritas Academy. Carole says her passion for teaching comes from her love for children and her desire to impart in her students the love of Christ. Carole is a licensed practical nurse and uses her nursing experience when needed at school. She homeschooled her children many years before coming to work here at Veritas Academy.

She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, sewing, and cooking.
